Installation

1. Installation is the reverse of removal. CAUTION: Set room side lever and T/M side lever to "N" position.

Replacement

Note. In the case of the vehicle equipped with immobilizer or button engine start system, perform "Key Teaching" procedure together (Refer to " IMMOBILIZER " or " BUTTON ENGINE START SYSTEM " ).

1. Turn ignition switch OFF and disconnect the negative (-) battery cable.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly (Refer to " «INTAKE AND EXHAUST SYSTEM»(ref-424737) " ).
3. Remove the TCM connector (A) after removing the TCM (B). TCM installation bolt: 9.8 ~ 11.8 N.m (1.0 ~ 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 ~ 8.7 lb-ft)

Continue to apply liquid gasket at application points at the valve body cover with Ø2.5mm (0.0984in.) thickness.
