The static ignition system is designed to increase the energy available at the ignition coils; it also eliminates the necessity for moving elements. Each of the four spark plugs is housed within its ignition coil (2). Each ignition coil is secured to the cylinder head by a bolt (3) and incorporates a harness connector (1).
The power module is incorporated in the engine control unit.
