How to Replace the Oil Pump Opel Vivaro A

Remove

  1. 1. Remove dipstick/oil filler cap from guide tube • Remove 2x integral lugs – Twist cap
  2. 2. Raise vehicle
  3. 3. Remove engine and transmission undershield from vehicle
  4. 4. Drain oil from engine • Remove plug
  5. 5. Install oil drain plug 9 Nm • Replace seal
  6. 6. Remove left transmission splash shield • Release 2x clip
  7. 7. Release oil pan from transmission • Remove 4x bolt
  8. 8. Remove engine mount bracket (1) from oil pan • Remove 3x bolt (2)
  1. 9. Remove oil pan from engine • Remove 22x bolt
  1. 10. Remove oil splash shield from engine • Remove bolt
  1. 11. Remove baffle plate from cylinder block • Remove bolt (1), release from 2x locator
  1. 12. Remove oil pump from engine • Remove 2x bolt (1)

Install

  1. 13. Install oil pump to engine 24 Nm • Install 2x bolt (1)
  1. 14. Install baffle plate to cylinder block • Install bolt (1) 24 Nm , secure to 2x locator
  1. 15. Install oil splash shield to engine • Install bolt 24 Nm
  2. 16. Install oil pan (1) and new gasket (2) to cylinder block
  1. 17. Secure oil pan to cylinder block • Tighten 6x bolt 18 Nm in sequence (8, 15, 4, 19, 11, 12) • Tighten 18x bolt 15 Nm in sequence (10, 13, 9, 14, 8, 15, 7, 16, 6, 17, 5, 18, 3, 20, 2, 21, 1, 22)

Note. Ensure flush alignment of oil pan and cylinder block to prevent damage to transmission housing.

  1. 18. Install engine mount bracket (1) to oil pan 60 Nm • Install 3x bolt (1)
  1. 19. Install oil pan to transmission assembly • Install 4x bolt
  2. 20. Install left splash shield to transmission • Secure 2x clip
  1. 21. Install engine and transmission undershield to vehicle
  2. 22. Lower vehicle
  3. 23. Replace oil filter using Oil Filter Wrench KM-6164 • Lubricate sealing ring
  4. 24. Fill engine oil to correct level
  5. 25. Install oil level dipstick/oil filler cap
  6. 26. Remove engine immobiliser/instrument panel fuse from interior fuse box • Remove left ashtray housing from instrument panel – Release 4x clip • For vehicles up to MY2006, remove fuse (2) • For vehicles from MY2007, remove fuse (1)
  1. 27. Crank engine for five seconds
  2. 28. Install engine immobiliser/instrument panel fuse to interior fuse box
  3. 29. Install left ashtray housing to instrument panel • Secure 4x clip
  4. 30. Start vehicle, run at idle speed to prime oil filter • Check oil, fill to correct level if required
