Objective:
Checking Operation of the Oxygen sensor.
Measurement:
Plot of signal voltage of Oxygen sensor.
Preparation:
Engine oil temperature greater than 80°C . Switch off the engine and ignition.
Connections:

| Connect the red measurement lead with the blue filter adapter to pin 1 of the plug connector for the Oxygen sensor. Connect the black ground lead to ground. |
Procedure Tech 31:
- 1. Download Reference curve.
- 2. Start the engine and allow it to idle.
- 3. If either little or no voltage variation can be detected, the engine speed must be slightly increased.
Reference Curve:
Ageing of the Oxygen sensor can affect signal frequency for particular measurements. The frequency is thus reduced as the sensor becomes older.
