Heat Shields
As already used for the 20 SE and X 20 SE in the Omega-B, heat shields are introduced for all OHC petrol engines in the Corsa-B, Astra-F, Vectra/Cavalier and Calibra.
The use of heat shields prevents charring of the spark plug connectors.

Before installation, the heat shields must be coated with Molycote Paste (19 48 569 / 90 513 210).
The tightening torque is 30 Nm/22 lbf. ft.
Due to the above modification, spark plugs with wrench size 16 and suitable spark plug connectors are used.
To remove the spark plugs, use Special Service Tool KM-194-B.
