Engine Timing
The timing belt is driven by the crankshaft pulley to drive the anciliary drive unit and the camshaft.

A tensioner is installed to set the initial tension on the timing belt. Once set, the bracket for the tension roller is clamped to the cylinder block by means of a stud that passes through the middle of the tension roller.

· Service
The timing belt must be replaced every 5 years or 75 000 km / 50 000 miles.
When replacing the timing belt, the crankshaft and the fuel injection pump are held in the top dead centre (TDC) position by means of Locking Pins KM - 966.
