The following method of replacing the spark plugs applies to the K10B engine and the K12B engine.
Remove
- 1. Release air cleaner assembly (1) from cylinder head cover • Pull off to release 2x rubber locator
- 2. Remove cover and air cleaner element from air cleaner assembly • Release 2x clip (2), 2x locator
- 3. For K10B engine, disconnect 3x harness connector (2) from 3x ignition coil module (3)
- 4. For K12B engine, disconnect 4x harness connector (2) from 4x ignition coil module (3)
- 5. For K10B engine, remove 3x ignition coil module from 3x spark plug • Remove 3x bolt (1)
- 6. For K12B engine, remove 4x ignition coil module from 4x spark plug • Remove 4x bolt (1)
- 7. For K10B engine, remove 3x spark plug from cylinder head • Use Spark Plug Wrench KM-194-E
- 8. For K12B engine, remove 4x spark plug from cylinder head • Use Spark Plug Wrench KM-194-E
Install
- 9. For K10B engine, install 3x new spark plug to cylinder head 18 Nm • Use Spark Plug Wrench KM-194-E
- 10. For K12B engine, install 4x new spark plug to cylinder head 18 Nm • Use Spark Plug Wrench KM-194-E
- 11. For K10B engine, install 3x ignition coil module (3) to 3x spark plug • Install 3x bolt (1) 11 Nm
- 12. For K12B engine, install 4x ignition coil module (3) to 4x spark plug • Install 4x bolt (1) 11 Nm
- 13. For K10B engine, connect 3x harness connector (2) to 3x ignition coil module
- 14. For K12B engine, connect 4x harness connector (2) to 4x ignition coil module
- 15. Install air cleaner element and cover to air cleaner assembly (1) • Secure cover to air cleaner assembly – Secure 2x locator, then secure 2x clip (2)
- 16. Secure air cleaner assembly to cylinder head cover • Push on to secure 2x rubber locator
