Air Intake System Description and Operation Opel Agila B

The main components of the air intake system are the air cleaner (1), air cleaner outlet hose (2), throttle valve module (3) and intake manifold (4). The air flow, which corresponds to throttle valve (5) opening and engine speed, is filtered by the air cleaner, distributed by the intake manifold and finally drawn into each combustion chamber. The throttle valve module is not equipped with an idle air control (IAC) valve for idle speed control. The idle speed is controlled by the throttle motor (6), which opens and closes the throttle valve.
