DTC P0600 - A/T CONTROL Nissan Maxima A32

Testing & Diagnostics 1 illustration ~274 words

Note. In case of the diagnostic item, the freeze frame data will not be stored in the ECM. This diagnosis does not have 2 trip detection logic, and will not light up the MIL.

  1. Check Input Signal Circuit Turn ignition off. Disconnect ECM harness connector. see scheme 1 Disconnect A/T control unit harness connector. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between harness connector terminals: ECM harness connector terminal No. 65 and A/T control unit harness connector terminal No. 47 (Red/Blue wire). (Scheme 21) ECM harness connector terminal No. 66 and A/T control unit harness connector terminal No. 38 (Yellow/Black wire). ECM harness connector terminal No. 73 and A/T control unit harness connector terminal No. 10 (White/Blue wire). ECM harness connector terminal No. 74 and A/T control unit harness connector terminal No. 11 (White/Purple wire). ECM harness connector terminal No. 77 and A/T control unit harness connector terminal No. 12 (Red/White wire). If no continuity exists, repair open wires as required. If continuity exists, go to next step.
  2. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between harness connector terminals and ground: ECM harness connector terminal No. 65 (Red/Blue wire) and ground. ECM harness connector terminal No. 66 (Yellow/Black wire) and ground. ECM harness connector terminal No. 73 (White/Blue wire)and ground. ECM harness connector terminal No. 74 (White/Purple wire) and ground. ECM harness connector terminal No. 77 (Red/White wire) and ground. If continuity exists, repair short in wires as required. If no continuity exists, go to next step.
  3. Check ECM pin terminals for damage or corrosion. Check all circuit connectors for clean, tight fit. If fault is still present, repeat step 1).
