- Check Power Supply Turn ignition off. Disconnect EVAP control system pressure sensor harness connector. Turn ignition on. Using a voltmeter, measure voltage between EVAP control system pressure sensor harness connector terminal No. 3 (Red wire) and ground. If voltage is not approximately 5 volts, check for fault Red wire circuit. If voltage is approximately 5 volts, go to next step.
- Check Ground Circuit Turn ignition off. Loosen and retighten engine ground screws. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between EVAP control system pressure sensor harness connector terminal No. 1 (Black wire) and engine ground. If no continuity exists, repair open in Black wire. If continuity exists, go to next step.
- Check Input Signal Circuit Turn ignition off. Disconnect ECM harness connector. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between EVAP control system pressure sensor harness connector terminal No. 2 (White wire) and ECM connector terminal No. 67. If no continuity exists, repair fault in White wire circuit. If continuity exists, go to next step.
- Check EVAP Canister Vent Control Valve Disconnect EVAP canister vent control valve harness connector. Connect fused battery positive voltage to EVAP canister vent control valve terminal No. 1 and battery negative to terminal No. 2. (Схема №18) Verify there is no air passage continuity from "A" to "B". Disconnect battery, verify there is air passage continuity from "A" to "B". If airflow is not as specified, replace control valve. If airflow is as specified, go to next step.
- Reconnect EVAP control system pressure sensor harness connector. Remove sensor from bracket. Connect vacuum pump to vacuum port. Measure voltage between ground and EVAP control system pressure sensor harness connector terminal No. 2 (White wire). Approximately 4.6 volts should exist. Apply 2.7 in Hg to sensor. Approximately 0.5 volts should be exist. If voltage is not as specified, replace EVAP control system pressure sensor. If voltage is as specified, disconnect system harness connectors and inspect for damage or corrosion. Repair as necessary and retest.
