Remove engine – see operation "Engine, Remove and Install".

Detach transmission from engine – see operation "Manual Transmission from Engine, Detach and Reattach".

Remove oil pump – see operation "Oil Pump, Remove and Install".

Remove bearing bridge attachment screws (1 and 2). Remove bearing bridge.

In vehicles with automatic transmission: Remove drive plate – see operation "Drive Plate, Remove and Install".

Remove crankshaft pulse generator (1) holder and crankshaft pulse generator (2) (1 attachment screw).

Remove oil filter housing – see operation "Oil Filter Housing, Remove and Install".

Remove fuel injection pump – see operation "Fuel Injection Pump, Remove and Install". Remove fuel injection pump bracket.

Install fuel injection pump bracket. Install fuel injection pump – see operation "Fuel Injection Pump, Remove and Install".

Install oil filter housing – see operation "Oil Filter Housing, Remove and Install".

In vehicles with automatic transmission: Install drive plate – see operation "Drive Plate, Remove and Install".

Install pulse pick-up bracket with pulse pick-up – tightening torque 9 Nm / 6.5 lbf. ft.

Attach bearing bridge to cylinder block – tightening torque 23 Nm / 17 lbf. ft.

Install oil pump – see operation "Oil Pump, Remove and Install".

Attach transmission to engine – see operation "Manual Transmission from Engine, Detach and Reattach".

Install engine – see operation "Engine, Remove and Install".
