Remove
Detach charge air hose from upper part of intake manifold and intercooler.
Disconnect wiring harness plug (1) from coolant temperature sensor (2).
Detach coolant temperature sensor from cylinder head – collect coolant.
Install
Attach coolant temperature sensor to cylinder head with new seal ring – tightening torque 18 Nm / 13.5 lbf. ft.
Connect wiring harness plug to coolant temperature sensor.
Attach charge air hose to upper part of intake manifold and intercooler – tightening torque – 3.5 Nm / 2.6 lbf. ft.
Inspect
Top up cooling system – see operations "Cooling System, Top Up and Bleed" and "Cooling System, Check for Leaks".
