Remove
Remove air cleaner housing with air intake hose and hot film mass air flow meter – see illustration "Air Ducts".
Remove upper part of toothed belt cover – see operation "Toothed Belt Cover – Upper Part, Remove and Install".
For version with AC: Remove ribbed V-belts – see operation "Ribbed V-belts, Remove and Install".
Remove V-belt – see operation "V-belt, Remove and Install".
Remove lower part of toothed belt cover – see operation "Toothed Belt Cover – Lower Part, Remove and Install".
Remove right engine damping block – see operation "Engine Damping Block, Right, Remove and Install".
Remove toothed belt – see operation "Toothed Belt, Remove and Install".
Remove camshaft pulley (2) from camshaft – counterhold with open-ended spanner (1) at hex of camshaft.
Edge out seal ring (3) with suitable tool.
Install
Coat sealing lip of the new seal ring lightly with silicon grease (white) and press into camshaft housing with KM-422 – use bolt and washer of the camshaft pulley.
Camshaft pulley with new bolt to camshaft – observe installation position of washer.
Caution
Hand tighten camshaft pulley – must still be possible to rotate camshaft pulley on camshaft.
Install
Install toothed belt – see operation "Toothed Belt, Remove and Install".
Install right engine damping block – see operation "Engine Damping Block, Right, Remove and Install".
Install lower part of toothed belt cover – see operation "Toothed Belt Cover – Lower Part, Remove and Install".
Install V-belt – see operation "V-belt, Remove and Install".
For version with AC: Install ribbed V-belt – see operation "Ribbed V-belt, Remove and Install".
Install upper part of toothed belt cover – see operation "Toothed Belt Cover – Upper Part, Remove and Install".
