Battery Tray Replacement (For Vehicles with Security Bracket) Opel Agila B

Remove

  1. 1. Remove battery from vehicle • Disconnect battery negative lead (2) – Release nut • Disconnect battery positive lead – Release cover (1) – Release nut • Release coolant expansion tank (3) from battery tray – Slide off, then move to one side • Remove bracket (4) from battery tray – Remove bolt
  2. 2. Release 2x harness from battery tray, then move to one side • Release 2x clip
  1. 3. Remove engine control module (ECM) with security bracket (1) from battery tray • Remove 4x security bolt (2) • Release locator on security bracket from battery tray
  1. 4. Disconnect 2x harness connector from ECM • Push in 2x lock, then release 2x clip (1)
  1. 5. Remove battery tray from chassis and transmission mounting assembly • Remove 4x bolt

Install

  1. 6. Install new battery tray to chassis and transmission mounting assembly • Install 4x bolt
  2. 7. Install ECM with security bracket (1) to battery tray
  3. 8. Connect 2x harness connector to ECM • Push on, then secure 2x clip • Position locator on security bracket in to battery tray • Install 4x new security bolt (2) – Tighten 4x security bolt until 4x bolt head break off
  1. 9. Secure 2x harness to battery tray • Secure 2x clip
  2. 10. Install battery to vehicle • Install bracket (4) to battery tray – Install bolt • Secure coolant expansion tank (3) to battery tray – Slide on • Connect battery positive lead – Secure nut 11 Nm – Secure cover (1) • Connect battery negative lead (2) – Secure nut 11 Nm
  1. 11. Program all volatile memories – see operation “Program Volatile Memories”
