Important: For vehicles with Stop Start system: If the battery is charged with an external power source while the battery is still connected to the vehicle then the battery negative cable should be disconnected for approximately 5 seconds after charging.
Remove
- 1. Remove battery from vehicle • Disconnect battery negative lead (2) – Release nut • Disconnect battery positive lead – Release cover (1) – Release nut • Remove bracket (3) from battery tray – Remove bolt
Install
- 2. Install new battery to vehicle • Install bracket (3) to battery tray – Install bolt • Connect battery positive lead – Secure nut 11 Nm – Secure cover (1) • Connect battery negative lead (2) – Secure nut 11 Nm
- 3. Program all volatile memories – see operation “Program Volatile Memories”
