- Raise vehicle, remove front tires, remove lower front engine shield (noise insulator). (Scheme 8) With vehicle raised, loosen appropriate front bumper fasteners at this time. (Scheme 9)- (Scheme 15). Lower vehicle.
- Separate hood release lever from hood lock. Disconnect any wiring harness that attach to the front bumper.
- Remove front bumper cover. (Scheme 9)or (Scheme 12). Remove bumper cover carrier from impact absorbers.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Adjust front bumper height (A4; Up To VIN 8DXA20000) (Scheme 11) To move lock carrier into service position, see «LOCK CARRIER»(ref-147486-S40535456302002091600000).
