Testing & Diagnostics

DATA LINK CONNECTOR (DLC)

DLC connector is located under left side of instrument panel. Use DLC to connect TECH 2 scan tool for engine diagnosis.

PROGRAMMING ECM

If power supply to ECM has been interrupted, system must be reprogrammed. Drive vehicle at varying RPM and engine loads for 5 minutes.

SUMMARY

If no hard DTCs are present, proceed to TROUBLE SHOOTING - NO CODES article for diagnosis by symptom (i.e., rough idle, no start, etc.) or intermittent diagnostic procedures.
