Note. Check for vacuum hose leak going to MAP sensor before performing diagnostic procedures.
- Disconnect MAP sensor connector. (Схема №1), (Схема №3) or (Схема №4) for MAP sensor and ECM locations. Connect SST 86 11 857 test light (Схема №9) or equivalent between positive battery terminal and MAP sensor connector terminal No. 4 (Black wire). (Схема №10) If test light illuminates, go to next step. If test light does not illuminate, check for faulty circuit between MAP sensor connector terminal No. 4 and ECM connector terminal No. 22 (Black wire), between throttle body connector terminal No. 4 and MAP sensor connector terminal No. 4 (Black wire) or between throttle body connector terminal No. 9 and ECM connector terminal No. 70 (Green/Red wire). (Схема №11)for ECM terminal identification. See appropriate wiring diagram in «WIRING DIAGRAMS»(ref-3491) article. Repair as necessary, then go to step 5. NOTE: Circuit between Black wire and Green/Red wire is completed inside throttle body.
- Turn ignition on. Use DVOM to measure voltage between MAP sensor connector terminals No. 2 (Grey/Red wire) and 4 (Black wire). If voltage reading is between 4.9-5.1 volts, go to next step. If voltage is not as specified, check for faulty circuit between MAP sensor terminal No. 2, ECM connector terminal No. 69 and throttle body connector terminal No. 2 (Grey/Red wire). Also check for faulty circuit between throttle body connector terminal No. 7 and ECM connector terminal No. 46 (White/Black wire). Repair as necessary, then go to step 5. NOTE: Circuit between Grey/Red wire and White/Black wire is completed inside throttle body.
- Connect TECH 2 scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Select READING: MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE. Scan tool display should be 0 kPa. If reading is as specified, go to next step. If reading is not as specified, repair faulty circuit between MAP sensor connector terminal No. 3 and ECM connector terminal No. 11 (Brown/Orange wire). Go to step 5.
- Connect a fused jumper wire between MAP sensor connector terminal Nos. 2 (Grey/Red wire) and 3 (Brown/Orange wire). Scan tool display should now read 250 kPa. If reading is as specified, replace MAP sensor. If reading is not as specified, repair faulty circuit between MAP sensor connector terminal No. 3 and ECM connector terminal No. 11 (Brown/Orange wire). Go to next step.
- Use scan tool to clear DTCs. Turn ignition off for at least 5 seconds. Restart engine and increase engine speed to 4000 RPM. Allow engine to return to idle for 1 minute. Recheck for any stored DTCs. If no DTCs are present, clear codes in all systems. If P0107 or P0108 reappears, substitute known good ECM and retest system. See «ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM)»(ref-2997-S17585372472000041700000) under COMPUTERIZED ENGINE CONTROLS in REMOVAL, OVERHAUL & INSTALLATION article.
