DTC P0106: MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE (MAP) SENSOR PERFORMANCE PROBLEM Saab 9-5 I

Note. Atmospheric Absolute Pressure (inside ECM), Charge Air Absolute Pressure and Manifold Absolute Pressure sensors should all have the same value of around 100 kPa when checked with TECH 2 scan tool (ignition on, engine off). If any sensor differs by more than 10 kPa from the others, replace sensor and retest system.

DTC P0106 is stored when a very large vacuum leak exists. Check and repair any leaks. If no leaks are found, replace MAP sensor. (Схема №1), (Схема №3) or (Схема №4) for MAP sensor and ECM locations. Turn ignition off for at least 5 seconds. Connect TECH 2 scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC) and clear DTCs. Restart engine and increase engine speed to 4000 RPM. Allow engine to return to idle for 1 minute. Recheck for any stored DTCs. If DTC P0106 reappears, substitute known good ECM and retest system. See ENGINE CONTROL MODULE (ECM) under COMPUTERIZED ENGINE CONTROLS in REMOVAL, OVERHAUL & INSTALLATION article.
