Cold start difficulties caused by too low compression.
Cause:
Reduction of the valve clearance is caused by excessive seating of the intake valves in the valve seat.
Production Solution:
From MY 96 the valve material changed.
Special part:

Remedy:
Correct the valve clearance adjustment by using thiner valve shims.If it is not possible to achieverequired valve clearance byshimming, replace intake valves.Cat /Part-No. 6 41 007 /(94 370 173).
