Crankshaft Front Seal Ring, Replace
Remove toothed belt - see operation "Toothed Belt, Remove and Install".
Unscrew bolts from toothed belt drive gear. For this, remove flywheel cover plate and counterhold flywheel with KM-517-B.
Detach toothed belt drive gear with KM-161-B (see illus. I).
Ensure that feather key (wedge) does not get lost!
Make hole in seal ring, turn in self-tapping screw and remove seal ring; do not damage seal ring casing (see illus. II).
Coat seal lip of new seal ring with silicone grease (white) and insert seal ring into pump bracket.
Drive seal ring into oil pump cover with KM-656 (see illus. III).
Insert feather key (wedge) in crankshaft journal. Push on toothed belt drive gear and tighten.
Toothed belt drive gear to crankshaft - 133-161 Nm / 98-119 lbf. ft.
Install flywheel cover plate.
Cover plate to transmission housing - 7 Nm / 5 lbf. ft.
Install toothed belt - see operation "Toothed Belt, Remove and Install".
