17 D (4EE1), OHC Diesel Engine
The overall concept of the 17 D (4EE1) engine is based on the 17 DT (TC-4EE1) engine as used in the Astra-F and Vectra/Cavalier.
The main differences are the omission of the turbocharging system and the addition of parts suitable for the Corsa-B, such as the oil pan, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, injection pump and exhaust system - they are taken from the 15 D (4EC1) engine for the Corsa-B.
In addition, the 17 D (4EE1) engine uses the intake pipe from the 15 D (4EC1) for reduced intake air noise and exhaust emission.
