- Turn ignition off. Disconnect Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor harness connector. (Схема №5) Measure resistance between ECT sensor terminals. If resistance is less than 100 ohms, replace ECT sensor and retest system. If resistance is 100 ohms or more, go to next step.
- Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and ECT sensor harness connector Blue/Yellow wire. If battery voltage exists, repair short to voltage and retest system. If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step.
- Measure voltage between ECT sensor harness connector terminals. If voltage is more than 5.2 volts, replace ECM and retest system. If voltage is 5.2 volts or less, system is okay.
