DTC P0111 & P0112: INTAKE AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR Jaguar XJR II

  1. Check air intake system. Ensure air cleaner is not obstructed. Check air meter-to-throttle body seal, air cleaner-to-air meter seal, and engine breather-to-inlet duct. Repair as necessary and retest system. If air intake system is okay, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor harness connector. Measure resistance between MAF sensor terminals No. 3 (Blue/Purple wire) and No. 4 (Black/Green wire), with MAF sensor at specified temperature. (Схема №4) See «IAT & ECT SENSOR RESISTANCE»(ref-2818-S38004469892000041300000) table. If resistance is as specified, go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, replace MAF sensor and retest system.
  3. Disconnect ECM harness connector EM12. Check continuity of Blue/Purple wire between ECM harness connector EM12 terminal No. 12 and MAF sensor harness connector terminal No. 3. (Схема №3) If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair open in Blue/Purple wire and retest system.
  4. Disconnect ECM harness connectors EM10 and EM11, pedal position and mechanical guard sensor harness connector, and throttle position sensor harness connector. Check continuity of Black/Green wire between ECM harness connector EM10 terminal No. 20 and MAF sensor harness connector terminal No. 4. (Схема №3) If continuity exists, system is okay. If continuity does not exist, repair open in Black/Green wire and retest system.
