DTC P0118: ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR CIRCUIT HIGH INPUT (XJ SERIES) Jaguar XJR II

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor harness connector. (Схема №5) Measure resistance between ECT sensor terminals. If resistance is less than 100 ohms, replace ECT sensor and retest system. If resistance is 100 ohms or more, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect ECM harness connector EM11. Check continuity between ECM harness connector EM11 terminals No. 9 (Blue/Yellow wire) and No. 12 (Black/Green wire). (Схема №3) If continuity exists, repair short circuit and retest system. If continuity does not exist, system is okay.
