Remove and Install Alternator or Replace Opel Meriva A

  1. 1. Open bonnet
  2. 2. Disconnect battery • Detach ground cable
  3. 3. Raise vehicle all the way
  4. 4. Remove ribbed V-belt cover • Unscrew 3x bolt • Unclasp clip
  5. 5. Remove ribbed V-belt (1) • Tighten ribbed V-belt tensioner (2) in direction of arrow – Use KM-913-A • Insert KM-6130 (3)

Note. Mark running direction.

  1. 6. Remove alternator • Detach alternator wiring harness – Unscrew 2x nuts (1) and (2) • Unscrew lower bolt (4) • Loosen upper bolt (3) • Remove alternator with upper bolt (3) through wheel arch
  1. 7. Install alternator • Insert alternator with upper bolt through wheel arch • Tighten 2 bolts 35 Nm • Install alternator wiring harness – Tighten 2 nuts
  2. 8. Install ribbed V-belt • Tension ribbed V-belt tensioner in direction of arrow – Use KM-913-A • Use KM-6130

Note. Note running direction.

  1. 9. Install ribbed V-belt cover • Tighten 3 bolts • Install clip
  2. 10. Lower vehicle all the way
  3. 11. Connect battery
  4. 12. Program volatile memory
  5. 13. Close bonnet
