Important Workshop Instructions
Clean all components - regulator and armature only if definitely necessary - and check for wear and function.
Repair defective or worn parts or replace, if necessary.
Use commercially available cleaning fluids.
Allow only brief contact of electrical windings with cleaning fluids. Never use petroleum or diesel fuel for cleaning, as they evaporate too slowly and attack the insulation material. Petrol and trichlorethylene are also no longer permitted for health reasons.
