Starter
Starter, Remove and Install
Disconnect ground cable from battery.
Remove intake manifold support (2) from intake manifold and cylinder block.
Disconnect wiring connections (3) from starter.
Detach ground cable (1) from upper fastening bolt of starter.
Remove upper fastening bolt (5) and lower fastening bolt (4) - remove starter.
Attach starter to cylinder block - tightening torque 25 Nm / 18 lbf. ft.
Attach ground cable to upper fastening bolt for starter.
Attach cable connections to starter.
Attach intake manifold support to intake manifold.
Tightening torque X 10 XE: 10 Nm / 7.5 lbf. ft.
Tightening torque X 12 XE: 6 Nm / 4 lbf. ft.
Attach intake manifold support to cylinder block - tightening torque 20 Nm / 15 lbf. ft.
Connect ground cable to battery.
