Alternator, Disassemble (Bosch)
Remove nut for pulley, pulley halves, spacer ring, fan pulley and woodruff key from armature shaft (see illus. I).
Unbolt voltage regulator with brush holder from reverse of alternator (1, see illus. II).
Unscrew through bolts (2, see illus. III) and remove front part of housing with rotor from alternator.
Support front part of housing with suitable piece of pipe (1) and press armature out of front part of housing.
Remove cover from front bearing (2, see illus. II).
Remove rear ball bearing from armature shaft with commercially available bearing remover (see illus. III).
Remove nuts from connection pins "B+" and "D+" and washers and insulating material from rear of alternator (see illus. I).
Unbolt diode bridge together with stator winding and protective sleeve (if present) from rear part of housing (1, see illus. II).
Carefully bend diode bridge away from stator winding. Unsolder stator winding from diode bridge (2, see illus. III).
