Alternator, Assemble (Bosch)
Press rear ball bearing onto armature shaft with KM-151-2.
Insert front ball bearing in front part of housing and install bearing cover (1, see illus. I).
Insert rotor in pre-assembled front part of housing and press on spacer washer (2, see illus. II) with KM-151-1.
Solder stator winding to diode bridge (3, see illus. III).
Insert diode plate and stator winding in rear part of housing. Bolt diode plate to rear part of housing (1, see illus. I).
Note connection pin insulating sleeves.
Install spray guard, if present.
Join pre-assembled front and rear housing halves and install through bolts (2, see illus. II) - 4-6 Nm / 3-4 lbf. ft.
Insert voltage regulator in rear housing part and bolt to alternator (3, see illus. III).
Insert woodruff key in armature shaft. Install fan pulley, spacer ring, pulley halves, washer, split washer and nut - 40 � 5 Nm / 29.5 � 4 lbf. ft.
After assembling alternator, check alternator output and voltage.
