How to Remove and Install the Catalytic Converter Control Unit Lambda Sensor Opel Astra G

Important: Remove oxygen sensor for catalytic converter check only with engine at operating temperature.

Remove

1. 1. Disconnect lambda sensor wiring harness plug (3)
2. 2. Expose wiring harness (2)
3. 3. Unscrew catalytic converter control lambda sensor (1) from exhaust front end

Note. When re-using catalytic converter check oxygen sensor, coat thread of catalytic converter check oxygen sensor with special grease.

Install

4. 4. Install catalytic converter control unit lambda sensor into exhaust front end • Tightening torque 40 Nm
5. 5. Connect catalytic converter control unit lambda sensor wiring harness together and clip into bracket.
6. 6. Re-route wiring harness • Attach with cable ties
