| Complaint: | Customers may comment that the engine cannot be started. |

| Cause: | Blown fuse due to engine wiring harness short. It was found that the engine wiring harness was shorted to the bracket. |
| Production: | From Model Year 2009 on, the engine wiring harness routing was changed and a retaining clip was added to prevent the harness from shaving on the bracket. |
Remedy:
In case of customer complaint, repair the damaged wires and fix the harness with a proper retaining clip according to the following instruction.
NOTE: Not all starting issues are related to this engine wiring harness short.
Working Procedure:
1. Open hood 2. Remove beauty cover 3. Check engine wiring harness for short circuit to bracket (1)
4. Repair damaged wires
- Refer to brochure wiring harness repair
5. Insulate repaired wires and harness
6. Fix engine wiring harness to bracket
- Use appropriate retaining clip (2)
7. Install beauty cover
8. Replace blown fuse
9. Close hood
