Remove
- 1. Remove trim cover from engine • Remove 4x bolt
- 2. Remove oil pressure switch (1) from cylinder head • Place collecting container below • Disconnect harness connector
Measure
- 3. Install Adapter KM-135 to cylinder head
- 4. Install Fluid Pressure Gauge KM-498-B to Adapter KM-135
Important. Ensure the engine is at normal operating temperature before checking the engine oil pressure.
- 5. Measure engine oil pressure at idle • Start engine, then run engine at idle • Oil pressure is within specification if recorded pressure is 100 kPa (Min.)
- 6. Measure engine oil pressure at 4000 rpm • Raise engine speed to 4000 rpm • Oil pressure is within specification if recorded pressure is 300 - 400 kPa (Min.)
Note. 2x technician are required.
- 7. Stop engine
- 8. Remove Fluid Pressure Gauge KM-498-B from Adapter KM-135
- 9. Remove Adapter KM-135 from cylinder head
Install
- 10. Install oil pressure switch (1) 32 Nm to cylinder head • Apply suitable sealant to threads of oil pressure switch • Connect harness connector
- 11. Install trim cover to engine • Install 4x bolt 8 Nm
