Engine Oil and Oil Filter Replacement Opel Agila B

Remove

1. 1. Raise vehicle

Important. Observe the relevant environmental regulations when disposing of used engine oil.

2. 2. Drain engine oil • Place collecting container below • Remove drain plug – Remove sealing washer
3. 3. Install drain plug 20 Nm to oil pan • Install new sealing washer
4. 4. Remove collecting container
5. 5. Lower vehicle
6. 6. Remove cover (1) from engine • Remove 4x bolt

7. 7. Remove cover (1) with oil filter (2) from housing • Place collecting container below • Rotate anti-clockwise to release

Important. Observe the relevant environmental regulations when disposing of used oil filters.

8. 8. Remove oil filter from cover • Pull off
9. 9. Remove seal ring (3) from cover

Install

10. 10. Install new seal ring (3) to cover (1) • Lubricate seal ring with clean engine oil
11. 11. Install new oil filter (2) to cover • Push on
12. 12. Install cover with oil filter to housing 25 Nm

13. 13. Remove collecting container
14. 14. Install cover (1) to engine • Install 4x bolt 8 Nm

15. 15. Remove oil filler cap
16. 16. Fill engine with oil to correct level
17. 17. Install oil filler cap
18. 18. Start engine to prime oil filter
19. 19. Stop engine
20. 20. Check and adjust oil level if necessary

Note. Wait until engine oil has settled to correct level.

21. 21. For vehicles with Diesel Particulate Filter, reset Oil Life Monitor – see operation “Program Volatile Memories”
