- Disconnect the front A/F sensor 8P connector (A), then remove the A/F sensor (B).
- Install the front A/F sensor in the reverse order of removal.

- Disconnect the rear A/F sensor 8P connector (A), then remove the rear A/F sensor (B).
- Install the rear A/F sensor in the reverse order of removal.

- Disconnect the front secondary HO2S 4P connector (A), then remove the front secondary HO2S (B).
- Install the front secondary HO2S in the reverse order of removal.

- Disconnect the rear secondary HO2S 4P connector (A), then remove the rear secondary HO2S (B).
- Install the rear secondary HO2S in the reverse order of removal.

- Drain the engine coolant (see «COOLANT REPLACEMENT»(ref-220943-S33824314882006022100000) ).
- Remove the intake manifold cover (see step 1 in «REMOVAL»(ref-220942-S09039881152006022100000) ).
- Disconnect the ECT sensor 1 2P connector (A).
- Remove ECT sensor 1 (B).
- Install the sensor in the reverse order of removal with a new O-ring (C), then refill the radiator with engine coolant (see «COOLANT REPLACEMENT»(ref-220943-S33824314882006022100000) ), and bleed air from the cooling system with the heater valve open.

- Drain the engine coolant (see «COOLANT REPLACEMENT»(ref-220943-S33824314882006022100000) ).
- Remove the intake manifold cover (see step 1 in «REMOVAL»(ref-220942-S09039881152006022100000) ).
- Disconnect the ECT sensor 2 2P connector (A).
- Remove ECT sensor 2 (B).
- Install the sensor in the reverse order of removal with a new O-ring (C), then refill the radiator with engine coolant (see «COOLANT REPLACEMENT»(ref-220943-S33824314882006022100000) ), and bleed air from the cooling system with the heater valve open.

- Remove the intake manifold cover (see step 1 in «REMOVAL»(ref-220942-S09039881152006022100000) ).
- Disconnect the IAT sensor 2P connector (A).
- Remove the IAT sensor (B).
- Install the sensor in the reverse order of removal with a new O-ring (C).

- Disconnect the MAP sensor connector (A).
- Remove the screw (B).
- Remove the MAP sensor (C).

- Remove the upper and lower front covers from the engine, J35A6 engine (see step 9 in «TIMING BELT REMOVAL»(ref-220939-S26185362742006022100000) ), J35A7 engine (see step 9 in «TIMING BELT REMOVAL»(ref-220939-S08293554912006022100000) ).
- Remove the CKP sensor (A) from the oil pump.
- Install the sensor in the reverse order of removal.
- Do the CKP pattern learn procedure (see «CKP PATTERN CLEAR/CKP PATTERN LEARN»(ref-220945-S09583441882006022100000) ).

- Remove the timing belt, J35A6 engine (see «TIMING BELT REMOVAL»(ref-220939-S26185362742006022100000) ), J35A7 engine (see «TIMING BELT REMOVAL»(ref-220939-S08293554912006022100000) ).
- Remove the front camshaft pulley (CMP sensor pulse plate) (A).
- Disconnect the CMP sensor connector (B), then remove the back cover (C).
- Remove the CMP sensor (A) from the back cover.
- Install the sensor in the reverse order of removal. Install the timing belt, J35A6 engine (see «TIMING BELT INSTALLATION»(ref-220939-S12826556062006022100000) ), J35A7 engine (see «TIMING BELT INSTALLATION»(ref-220939-S08217246332006022100000) ).
- Do the CKP pattern clear/CKP pattern learn procedure (see «CKP PATTERN CLEAR/CKP PATTERN LEARN»(ref-220945-S09583441882006022100000) ).

- Remove the intake manifold (see «REMOVAL»(ref-220942-S09039881152006022100000) ).
- Remove the injector rails and the base.
- Disconnect the knock sensor 1P connector (A), then remove the knock sensor (B).
- Install the sensor in the reverse order of removal.

- Connect the HDS to the data link connector (DLC) (A) located under the driver's side of the dashboard.
- Make sure the HDS communicates with the PCM. If it doesn't, skip steps 3 to 6 and 16 and clean the throttle body (see «THROTTLE BODY TEST»(ref-220953-S11980502632006022200000) ) and replace the engine oil (see «ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENT»(ref-220941-S29959722872006022100000) ) after this procedure.
- Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
- Select the INSPECTION MENU with the HDS.
- Do the TP POSITION CHECK in the ETCS TEST.
- US model: Select READ DATA in the REPLACE PCM with the HDS.
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
- Remove the cover (D).
- Disconnect the PCM connectors (A), (B), (C). NOTE: PCM connector A, B, and C have symbols (A= square, B=triangle and C=circle) embosed on them for identification.
- Remove the bolts (E), then remove the PCM (F).
- Install the PCM in the reverse order of removal.
- Open the SCS with the HDS.
- Turn the ignition switch ON (II). NOTE: US model: DTC P0630 "VIN Not Programmed or Mismatch" may be stored because the VIN has not been programmed into the PCM; ignore it, and continue this procedure.
- US model: Input the VIN to the PCM with the HDS.
- US model: Select WRITE DATA in the REPLACE PCM with the HDS.
- Rewrite the immobilizer code with the PCM replacement procedure in the HDS; it allows you to start the engine.
- Reset the PCM with the HDS.
- Do the idle learn procedure (see «PCM IDLE LEARN PROCEDURE»(ref-220951-S17680691112006022100000) ).
- Do the CKP pattern learn procedure (see «CKP PATTERN CLEAR/CKP PATTERN LEARN»(ref-220945-S09583441882006022100000) ).
