Compatibility

  • All bonding of original polyurethane used in bonding of window glass
  • Glass with integral radio aerial (non-conductive product)

Optimum temperatures for using the product: between 10°C and 35°C

NoteThe maximum time for bonding the glass is the time between extruding of the product and positioning of the glass to be bonded. the maximum time for bonding the glass varies as a function of the temperature and moisture level (22°C and 50% humidity)

Drying in air at ambient temperature

NoteImmobilisation time for the vehicle after bonding is approx. 1 h

Data on hygiene and safety

The data files on health and safety can be consulted on the internet site http://quickfds.com

NoteUse the Parts No. for searches of the hygiene and safety data

Bonding method

Preparation of the bonding surfaces

Clean the bonding surfaces of the glass, as well as the edges; using the cleaning cloth

Wipe with the dry cloth or use a clean rag

Note on use of bonding primer

Leave the primer to dry for 5 minutes

WarningNever carry out bonding without using bonding primers

WarningIf there is a metal support, this support should be covered with a paint layer (top lacquer or cataphoresis coating)

WarningIf there are supports made from synthetic materials (polyester, PVC, PU, RIM) the lacquer primer can be applied directly on the unpainted material

WarningIn the case of a new replacement body, do not damage the anti-corrosion protection (cataphoresis)

WarningIn the case of a component replacement (e.g. windscreen pillar), do not remove the anti-corrosion protection (cataphoresis) on the bonding zone

WarningOn bare panel, apply the bonding primer in two layers, with a drying time of 5 to 10 minutes bewteen the two layers

WarningPrime the bonding zone before painting

WarningNever paint the bonding zone

Bonding

WarningApply the adhesive strip on the entire periphery of the glass in one uninterrupted action

Fit the glass on the bodywork
