WarningDeactivate the pneumatic suspension before lifting the vehicle (2 or 4 post lift, workshop jack or customer's jack)
WarningObserve the elementary rules of hygiene and safety (wear a face mask to protect against fumes and vapour - work in a well ventilated space)
WarningAll of the stripped surfaces must be protected by means of the approved electrolytic rezincing process
Additional operations
Disconnect the battery
Remove-refit the following components
- Front bumper
- Front mud flaps
- Headlamp
- Cooling cassette
- Air cleaner (left side)
- Subframe extension
- Screenwash reservoir (right hand side)
- Steering pump (right hand side)
Replace the following components
- Upper engine compartment front half panel
- Front bumper top frame
- Front bumper bottom frame (according to equipment)
Release the wiring harnesses
Protect the interior of the passenger compartment

Mark then drill to Ø 8 mm for later plug welding
Cutting out
Cut out the spot welds
Bodywork cleaning and preparation
Prepare the mating edges and protect them using a weldable primer
Adjustment
Fit
- Front block half-panel (4)
- Engine compartment front half panel assembly (3)
Check the fit of the engine compartment half-panel assembly (4) using the bolts (2)
Remove the engine compartment half-panel (4)
Use the approved checking and measuring equipment
Welding
Weld with MAG plug welds
Sealing protection
Apply a phosphate-print layer on the zone laid bare
Paint then spray into the hollow sections, product index C5, in the repair zone
Reinitialisation
Carry out the additional operations
