Tooling

Removing

Untighten the wheel screws

Place the vehicle on a lift, wheels hanging

Remove

• The front wheels
• The front splash shields

Vehicles with a front bumper lower crossmember

Remove the front bumper

Remove

• The bolts (1) (on each side)
• The bolt (2) (on each side)
• The lower crossmember (3) (front bumper)

Removing (common operations)

Remove (on each side)

• The anti-roll bar nut (4)
• The (5) bolt

Uncouple the lower swivel ball-joints; using tool [0622 / 9509-T]

Remove the bolts (6)

Move aside the power steering fluid pipe

Unclip the electrical harness (at "a")

Remove

• The bolt (7) (on each side)
• The bolt (8) (on each side)
• The cross beam (9)

Remove the bolt (10) (on each side)

Remove the bolt (11)

Disengage the torque reaction link (front subframe)

Remove the exhaust clamp (12); using tool [0193-B]

Remove

• The exhaust flexible mounting (13) bolts
• The rack (14) fixing bolts

Detach: the exhaust pipe (as "b")

Move aside the exhaust line and hang it on the bodyshell

Place a hydraulic stand under the engine subframe

Remove the bolts (15)

Lower the engine subframe by approximately 15 centimetres

Pivot the stabiliser bar (16) to detach it from the driveshaft (17)

Remove the engine subframe

Refitting

Position the front subframe on the bodyshell

Refit the bolts (15)

Take away the hydraulic stand

Position - centre the steering mechanism on the subframe

Refit

• The rack (14) fixing bolts
• The exhaust flexible mounting (13) bolts

Put the exhaust line in place

Engage: the exhaust pipe (at "b")

Refit the exhaust clamp (12); using tool [0193-B]

Engage the torque reaction rod on the front subframe

Refit

• The (11) bolt
• The bolt (10) (de chaque côté)

Refit

• The cross beam (9)
• The bolt (8) (on each side)
• The bolt (7) (on each side)

Clip the electrical harness (as "a")

Position the power steering fluid pipe

Refit the bolts (6)

Position: the pivot lower ball-joint (each side)

Refit on each side

• The (5) bolt
• The anti-roll bar nut (4)

Vehicles with a front bumper lower crossmember

Refit

• The lower crossmember (3) (front bumper)
• The bolt (2) (on each side)
• The bolts (1) (on each side)
• Refit the front bumper

Refit

• The front splash shields
• The front wheels

Check and adjust the wheel tracking
