Turn OFF the ignition. Disconnect the EGR valve electrical connector. see scheme 51 Remove the bolt retaining the pipe assembly from the EGR valve and carefully pull the pipe back. Remove the EGR valve retaining bolts. Remove the EGR valve assembly. Remove the gasket. Clean the EGR valve mating surface.
Install the EGR valve with a new gasket to the intake manifold. Install the bolts through the EGR valve. Tighten the bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Connect the pipe assembly to the EGR valve. Install the bolt. Tighten the bolt to specification. Install the EGR valve electrical connector.
