Climate Control Module (Ccm) Diagnostic Trouble Codes: Wiring Volvo V40 I рестайлинг

Checking components and wiring

Check the power unit connector and climate control module connector A (30-pin). Check for contact resistance and oxidation.

Check the cable between climate control module #A27 and power unit terminal #4. Check for an open-circuit.

Check the cable between climate control module #A27 and power unit terminal #2 and blower fan relay terminal #4. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

Check the ground lead between power unit terminal #2 and its ground terminal. Check for an open-circuit.

Try a new power unit if the wiring is OK.

Remedy as necessary.

Checking the connectors, components and wiring

  1. Check the climate control module connector A (30-pin) and the blower fan relay connector. Check for contact resistance and oxidation
  2. Check the signal cable between climate control module terminal #A24 and blower fan relay terminal #3. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for an open-circuit
  3. Try a new blower fan relay if the wiring and terminals are OK
  4. Remedy as necessary. Check the resistance of the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor. Take readings between temperature sensor terminals #1 and #2.

Check the signal cable between climate control module terminal #B5 and engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor terminal #2. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

Check the ground lead between control module terminal #B6 and engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor terminal #1. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

HINT: An open-circuit in the ground lead may have been caused by a short-circuit to supply voltage. Always check the signal cable for this fault cause as well.

Remedy as necessary.

Check the cable between climate control module terminal #B1 and outside temperature sensor terminal #2. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

Check the cable between control module terminal #B2 and outside temperature sensor terminal #1. Check for an open-circuit. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage.

HINT: A short-circuit on the ground lead may have been caused by a short-circuit to supply voltage. Always check the signal cable for this fault cause as well.

Check the cable between climate control module terminal #A13 and damper motor terminal #2. Check the cable between climate control module terminal #A12 and damper motor terminal #6. Check for an open-circuit.

Applies to right-hand drive cars only

Check the cable between climate control module terminal #A13 and damper motor terminal #6. Check the cable between climate control module terminal #A12 and damper motor terminal #2. Check for an open-circuit.

If the cables are OK, try a new damper motor.

Remedy as necessary.

Check the cable between climate control module terminal #A14 and damper motor terminal #2. Check the cable between climate control module terminal #A15 and damper motor terminal #6. Check for an open-circuit.

If the cables are OK, try a new damper motor.
