Note. In Y 20 DTH from MY 2003, Y 22 DTR, the engine and injection pump timing unit forms one unit and is permanently connected to the injection pump. If there is a fault, the injection pump must be replaced - see operation "Fuel Injection Pump, Remove and Install".
Remove
Note. If replacing or exchanging the injection pump, before removing it, the safety code must be reset using TECH2 - see corresponding test instructions.
Remove front left wheel,
Remove wing inner protective panelling – see operation "Wing Inner Protective Panelling, Remove and Install" in group "A",
Detach wiring harness plug (3) and (4) from engine control unit,
Remove engine control unit (2) from bracket (1),
Install
Install engine control unit in bracket,
Connect wiring harness plug to engine control unit,
Attach wing inner protective panelling – see operation "Wing Inner Protective Panelling, Remove and Install" in group "A",
Install front left wheel – tightening torque 110 Nm / 81 lbf. ft,
