Engine at operating temperature (oil temperature ≥ 80 ° C).
Remove ignition lead cover from cylinder head cover, spark plug connectors using MKM–836 and spark plugs using KM–194–E. Disconnect wiring harness plug from DIS ignition module. Remove fuel pump relay - see operation "Fuel Pump Relay, Remove and Install".
Use compression recorder with rubber cone and measuring range up to 1750 kPa (17.5 bar).
Operate starter motor for approx. 4 seconds with throttle valve wide open - minimum engine speed 300 rpm. The pressure difference between cylinders should not exceed 100 kPa (1 bar).
Install fuel pump relay - see operation "Fuel Pump Relay, Remove and Install". Connect wiring harness plug to DIS ignition module. Install the spark plugs using KM–194–E - tightening torque 25 Nm. Connect spark plug connectors and attach ignition cable cover to cylinder head cover - tightening torque 3 Nm.
