How to Replace the Engine Damping Blocks Opel Senator B

Engine Damping Blocks, Replace

Disconnect ground cable from battery.

Remove bonnet.

Remove positive cable (grey) for engine compartment illumination with steel cable from bonnet.

Disconnect wiring plug of windscreen washer nozzles.

Remove windscreen washer nozzles fine from washer pump and close off.

Detach line for power steering from fastening clamp (arrow).

Detach fan shroud from radiator and hang over visco-fan.

Attach engine to Engine Lifter KM - 263 - B and raise.

Note:

Remove left and right vibration dampers from bracket (1).

Loosen fastening bolt (2) and swing vibration damper aside.

Remove left and right engine damping blocks from front axle body (3).

Raise with Engine Lifter KM - 263 - B and remove damping block.

Isert engine damping block into mounting bore holes with detent pin (arrow).

Fix in place with fastening nut (4).

Insert heat shield on exhaust manifold side

Lower engine and install engine damping blocks free of tension.

Mount engine vibration damper to bracket.

Torques:

Front engine suspension bracket to engine damping block - 40 Nm/29.5 lbf. ft.

Engine damping block (3) to front axle body - 40 Nm/29.5 lbf. ft.

Use new nuts.

Engine vibration damper to front axle body bracket (2) - 22 Nm/16 lbf. ft.

Remove Engine Lifter KM - 263 - B.

Attach line for power steering (arrow).

Install air intake hose (1) and air resonator (2) together with air intake hose.

Install bonnet and reconnect all removed hoses and cables.

Connect battery.
