Engine Management System EDC 15 C4
The engine control unit in the Y 25 DT engine has the following features:
- Oil pressure sensor evaluation modified
- Equalisation of the injectors to the injection system
- Error monitoring of the charge pressure regulator modified
- Information input from the alternator
- Actuation of the electric add-on heater
- Actuation of the swirl flaps
- Control of the hydraulic-pneumatic engine damping blocks.
For engine speed monitoring, the Y 25 DT engine has an rpm sensor on the crankcase for radial pick-off at the inner incremental wheel (last crankshaft web).
The engine starts to regulate the speed starting from 4000 rpm. The injection quantity is reduced continuously. The regulation limit is reached at approx. 4800 rpm.
