Exhaust Manifold Installation

1. Install new exhaust manifold studs and tighten to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).
2. Install the block heater, if equipped. Tighten the block heater bolt to 10 N·m (89 lb in).
3. Install the exhaust manifold gasket.
4. Install the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head.
5. Install NEW exhaust manifold to cylinder head retaining nuts finger tight.
6. Tighten the NEW exhaust manifold to cylinder head retaining nuts in sequence.
7. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield.
8. Install the exhaust manifold heat shield bolts and tighten to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).
