Remove
- 1. Open bonnet
- 2. Disconnect battery • Slacken nut
- 3. Unclip the coolant host out of the fan housing in 3 places
- 4. Unlatch the fan housing • 2 release buttons (push arrows) and fold fan housing away from radiator
- 5. Disconnect wiring harness plug (2) • Unclip wiring harness plug • Unclip wiring harness
- 6. Detach coolant compensation tank • Unscrew bolt (1) • Unclip tank upward in 2 places
- 7. Detach 2 earth cables (1) from chassis • Unscrew nut (2)
- 8. Raise vehicle by its full height
- 9. In the version with air conditioning: disconnect compressor wiring harness plug (1)
- 10. Remove fan housing • Release fan housing from lower retainer in 2 places • Remove fan housing downwards
- 11. Remove fan motor • Disconnect wiring harness plug (2) • Unscrew 3x nuts (1)
Install
- 12. Install fan motor • Tighten 3x nuts • Fix wiring harness plug
- 13. Install fan housing • Insert fan housing into retainer in 2 places • Press upper fan housing until it latches audibly 2 times
- 14. Connect compressor wiring harness plug
- 15. Lower vehicle by its full height
- 16. Attach 2 earth cables to chassis • Tighten nut
- 17. Attach coolant compensation tank • Tighten bolt
- 18. Clip in coolant hose in 3 places
- 19. Fix wiring harness plug • Attach wiring harness
- 20. Connect battery
- 21. Program volatile memories
- 22. Close bonnet
