How to Replace the High Pressure Pump Opel Combo C

Important: Cleanliness is absolutely essential when working on the fuel system because even small dirt particles can lead to disruption to engine operation or the fuel system. Open fuel systems must be sealed with appropriate sealing plugs from the kit (45 06 154). Sealing plugs are only designed to be used once.

Remove

1. 1. Remove vacuum pump (1)
2. 2. Remove high pressure pump (2) • Detach 3 hoses • Release 2x clamp • Loosen 2 union nuts • Unscrew 3 bolts

3. 3. Cleaning work • On camshaft housing

Install

4. 4. Install high-pressure pump • Replace seal ring • Tighten 3x bolts 15 Nm • Attach 3 hoses • Secure 2x clamp • Tighten 2 union nuts – M14 28 Nm – M12 24 Nm

Note. Wet seal ring with fuel

5. 5. Install vacuum pump

Important. Wear protective glasses and gloves

6. 6. Check the fuel system for leaks • Start engine.

Note. Check the fuel system for escaping fuel.
