Remove

1. 1. Open bonnet

Important. On vehicles as of model year 04 with ESP - every time the battery is disconnected, the steering angle sensor loses its basic setting. It must be recalibrated.

2. 2. Disconnect battery
3. 3. Raise vehicle
4. 4. Remove crankshaft pulse pickup (1) • Disconnect crankshaft pulse pick-up wiring harness plug • Remove bolt

5. 5. Cleaning work

Install

6. 6. Install crankshaft pulse pick-up • Tighten bolt 9 Nm • Connect crankshaft pulse pick-up wiring harness plug – Lock wiring harness plug
7. 7. Lower vehicle
8. 8. Connect battery
9. 9. Program volatile memory
10. 10. Close bonnet
