Engine, Repair Using Short-block
Attaching Components, Remove
Install engine with appropriate adapters on Engine Overhaul Stand KM-412.
Place collecting pan underneath - drain engine oil.

Rear toothed belt cover - see operation

Remove coolant pump (arrows) - see operation
"Coolant Pump, Remove and Install".
Starter, line and flange for crankcase vent.
If present:
Inductive pulse pick-up from oil pump.

Loosen cylinder head bolts in a spiral pattern from outside inwards - at first 1/4, then 1/2 turn.
Camshaft housing from cylinder head
Cam followers, thrust pieces and hydraulic valve lifters.

Oil pan, oil intake tube.
If present: baffle plate
