DTC P0443: EVAP CONTROL SYSTEM PURGE VALVE CIRCUIT Jaguar S-type I

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect purge valve harness connector, located near left strut tower. Measure resistance between purge valve terminals. If resistance is 30-33 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is not 30-33 ohms, replace purge valve and retest system.
  2. Turn ignition on. Measure voltage between ground and purge valve harness connector Green/Blue wire. If voltage is more than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair power supply circuit and retest system. See WIRING DIAGRAMS article.
  3. Turn ignition off. Check continuity between ground and purge valve harness connector Brown/Red wire. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, repair Brown/Red wire circuit between purge valve harness connector and PCM harness connector FH-1 terminal No. 12 and retest system. (Схема №5)and (Схема №6).
  4. Disconnect PCM harness connectors. Measure resistance between ground and purge valve harness connector Brown/Red wire. If resistance is less than 10,000 ohms, repair short to ground and retest system. If resistance is 10,000 ohms or more, replace PCM and retest system.
